Due to the great fire of 1521 and numerous reconstructions, though, not much of the original remains apart from a supporting wall and the church's general layout.

The church of Alfonso II. It is work by the maestro Tioda in the Romanesque style, built during the reign of Alfonso II. It is next to the tower of the cathedral and formed part of the primitive Palencia ecclesiastical complex built by Alfonso II. Of the primitive church, only a window in the sanctuary remains, it has three arches above marble.
